This guide to the new Taskade UI shows where each part of the workspace lives. It covers the icon rail, the Taskade EVE chat, your apps, and the AI model picker, and where each part moved from the older layout.
TL;DR: The new Taskade UI has four areas: the icon rail, the Taskade EVE chat panel, the in-space sidebar, and the work area. Breadcrumbs at the top show where you are. Teams and folders are now apps. What you see follows the permission model, from Owner to Viewer. Your work syncs in real time across web, desktop, and mobile.

The Workspace Layout
Every space splits into a Taskade EVE panel and a work area, with navigation on the left.

Home Space
The Home space of your workspace has two parts:
- Left panel: The Taskade EVE chat.
- Right panel: The App Preview, Projects, AI Agents, Automations, Integrations, and Media.
Your existing Teams, Folders, and Subspaces are still there. They show as tiles under the input box.
What Is Taskade Genesis?
Taskade Genesis is an AI app builder. Describe the app that you need, and Taskade Genesis builds it from one prompt. Every app runs on your Workspace DNA: projects remember (Memory), AI agents think (Intelligence), and automations act (Execution).

New Starting Point
The main page of your workspace puts the Taskade Genesis input field in the center. Type a prompt, and Taskade Genesis builds a complete app.

Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs at the top of every screen show where you are. Click any part to jump to it.

Apps and App Tiles
Teams, Folders, and Subspaces are now called apps. They organize your work the same way as before, and every app has a Preview tab that shows its interface.
Each app tile shows how many projects, AI agents, and automations the app holds. Click ··· on the tile for quick actions:
- Open Settings
- Share or Publish the app
- Duplicate or Move the app
- Copy the app link, or open the app in a new tab

Workspace Settings
Open Workspace Settings from the three dots ··· next to the workspace name.
Set a Workspace's Default View
A workspace opens to your Projects list by default, and an app opens to its App Preview. You can change what each one opens to.
- Click the arrow next to the workspace or app name.
- Choose Edit.
- On the General tab, find Landing view.
- Pick App Preview to open the running app, or Projects to open the project list.
The choice saves at once and applies the next time that you open that workspace or app. The Recent list in the left sidebar holds the projects that you visited last.
Taskade EVE
Taskade EVE is the AI assistant at the center of your workspace. It connects your projects (Memory), AI agents (Intelligence), and automations (Execution).
- Taskade Genesis: Build and edit complete apps.
- Projects: Create, organize, and manage your work.
- AI Agents: Configure custom assistants for your business.
- Automations: Design automations that connect tools and services.
Taskade EVE Chat Modes
Taskade EVE runs in five chat modes. Auto is the default and covers everything. The other four narrow the work to one layer.
- Open the Taskade EVE chat in the left sidebar.
- In the row under the prompt box, click the mode button.
- Select the mode that matches your task.

App mode shows only where an app exists. Read Chat Modes for what each mode edits, and Taskade EVE Slash Commands to drive a mode with /build, /plan, or /automate.
Pick an AI Model Tier
Each tier balances speed, depth, and credit use in the Taskade Genesis prompt box, the Taskade EVE chat, and AI agent chats. TSK-Auto is the default.
- Under the prompt box, click the model selector.
- Pick the tier that fits your task.
- Type your prompt as usual.

Context Pills
A context pill in the bottom-left corner of the chat shows what Taskade EVE can see.

Element Selector
The Element Selector edits any part of your app when you click it and describe the change.
- In the app preview toolbar, click Select element.
- Click the element that you want to change, such as a button, a header, a form, or an image. Taskade shows "Element selected".
- Describe the change in the chat, for example "Make this button bigger and change the color to blue."

Where did my Teams and Folders go?
They are still there, and they are now called apps. They show as tiles under the Taskade Genesis input box, and each one has a Preview tab.
Which AI model tier fits my task?
Start with TSK-Auto, which picks the best model for your task. Pick TSK-Instant for quick edits with the lowest credit use. Pick TSK-Thinking on a paid plan for bigger apps that need more care. Pick TSK-Reasoning on Max or Enterprise for complex apps.
How do I make a workspace open to its app?
Click the arrow next to the workspace name, choose Edit, and set Landing view to App Preview on the General tab.
How do I change one part of my app?
In the app preview, click Select element, click the part that you want to change, and describe the change in the Taskade EVE chat.
