Overview
Tasks and sub-tasks feature powerful ➕ Add-ons that allow you to add comments, set due dates, assign tasks, or embed online resources directly into tasks. Add-ons extend the functionality of every task without cluttering the default editing experience.
How to Access Add-Ons
- Open any project in Taskade.
- Hover your cursor over a task and click the ➕ plus icon on the right.
- Select the add-on you want to apply from the menu.
You can also access add-ons through the Drag Icon Menu or by using Slash Commands (type / inside a task).

Tips
- Combine Due Date and Assign add-ons so assigned tasks automatically appear in each team member's My Tasks dashboard.
- Use the Timer add-on during focused work sessions to track how long each task takes.
- The Comment add-on supports Markdown formatting and screencast recordings for rich asynchronous feedback.
- Custom Fields are great for tracking priority levels, task status, or project-specific metadata across large projects.
