What Is Taskade?
Taskade is an AI-native productivity workspace founded by John Xie, Dionis Loire, and Stan Chang in 2017. The Y Combinator-backed platform helps teams plan, build, and ship together. With Taskade you outline ideas, manage projects, run AI agents, automate workflows across 100+ integrations, and generate complete deployed apps from a single prompt with Genesis.
Get a headstart on your next project with our collection of 500+ templates, or jump straight into a blank workspace and let an AI Agent help you outline.
Taskade AI: outlines that think
Taskade AI is powered by 11+ frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Routing is automatic by plan tier so you never wire API keys.
- AI Agents v2 — Custom AI teammates with 22+ built-in tools, persistent memory, and the option to embed publicly inside Genesis Apps.
- AI Generators — Turn a topic into a structured outline, mind map, flowchart, or full project.
- AI Chat — Talk to your projects, summarize long outlines, or brainstorm next steps.
- AI Assistant — Built into every project. Trigger with
/assistant. - Genesis — Turn a prompt into a deployed app with database, agents, and automations.

The Workspace DNA advantage
Dynalist is a brilliant outliner. Genesis goes one step further with Workspace DNA, a self-reinforcing loop that powers everything you build in Taskade.
- Memory (Projects) — Your outlines, files, and structured data become the substrate every agent reasons over. The longer you work, the smarter the workspace gets.
- Intelligence (Agents) — Custom AI Agents with persistent memory and 22+ built-in tools live inside the workspace as first-class teammates, not floating chat windows.
- Execution (Automations) — Durable workflows triggered by Slack, Gmail, Stripe, GitHub, Calendly, webhooks, or schedules read from Memory and act through Intelligence — then write results back into Memory. The loop closes.

What Is Dynalist?
Dynalist is a hierarchical outliner founded by Shida Li and Erica Xu in 2015. Originally launched as Omniflow and renamed Dynalist in 2016, the tool was created after the founders found Workflowy limiting for their workflow.
Dynalist at a Glance: Founded in 2015 by the team that later built Obsidian. Dynalist excels at fast nested lists, tags, internal linking, and Markdown formatting.
Dynalist is widely used as a collaborative note-taking tool and a place to take notes hierarchically. The same team later released Obsidian.md, and Dynalist receives less frequent updates today as the company focuses on Obsidian.
Features of Dynalist
Dynalist is a clean outliner with the essentials covered:
- Markdown formatting
- Tags and colored labels
- Headings (H1, H2, H3)
- Internal linking
- Basic collaborative sharing
- Recurring tasks (Pro)
- Google Calendar sync (Pro)
Dynalist does not assign tasks to teammates inside the app, has no built-in chat or video, and has no AI features or app generation.
What Is Dynalist Good For?
- Personal note-taking
- Personal Knowledge Management
- Solo task lists
- Hierarchical brainstorming
- Quick capture of nested ideas
How Much Does Dynalist Cost?
