Pipedrive Integration

Overview

Connect Pipedrive to Taskade so your sales pipeline and your project work stay in step. A new or changed deal can start an automation, and any automation can create or update records in Pipedrive.

TL;DR: Pipedrive connects to Taskade automations with your personal API token. Triggers start an automation when a deal is created or changes, or when a person is added. Actions create, update, read, and search persons, organizations, deals, activities, and notes. Pipedrive steps need Pro and up.

Before You Start

  • What you need: A Pipedrive account and a Taskade workspace
  • Plan: Pro and up. On Free and Starter, the Pipedrive steps show a PRO badge and open the upgrade page.
  • Time: About 5 minutes

Step 1: Copy Your Pipedrive API Token

  1. Sign in to Pipedrive.
  2. Open your account menu at the top right.
  3. Open Personal preferences, then API.
  4. Copy Your personal API token.

Step 2: Connect Pipedrive in Taskade

Taskade stores the connection for the whole workspace, so every automation that uses Pipedrive reuses it.

  1. Open Automations in your workspace, and click Create.
  2. Add a trigger or a step, and search for Pipedrive.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Paste the token into API Token. Automations act as you, so they see and change only the records that your Pipedrive user can access.
  5. Save the connection. Taskade tests it with Pipedrive before it saves it.

Step 3: Pick a Trigger or an Action

Pick a Pipedrive trigger to start an automation, or add a Pipedrive action after any trigger. See Automation Triggers and Automation Actions for the Taskade steps that you can combine with them.

Trigger Starts the automation when
New Deal Someone creates a deal in Pipedrive.
Updated Deal A deal changes, for example a new stage, value, or status. The output includes the old values of the changed fields.
New Person Someone adds a person (a contact) in Pipedrive.
Action What it does
Create, Update, Get, and Search Persons Manage contacts by name, email, phone, organization, and owner.
Create, Update, Get, and Search Organizations Manage companies by name, address, and owner.
Create, Update, Get, and Search Deals Manage deals by title, value, stage, status, person, organization, and close date.
Create, Update, Get, and Find Activities Manage calls, meetings, tasks, and deadlines, and mark them done.
Create, Update, Get, and Find Notes Add and edit notes on a deal, person, or organization.

You are done when a test deal in Pipedrive starts the automation and the matching task or project shows in Taskade.

Build Your First Pipedrive Automation

Start from one of these patterns, then add your own steps.

Goal Trigger Steps that follow
Start onboarding when a deal is won Updated Deal, then Branch on the status Create Project From Template, then Assign Task to the account owner
Log meeting notes Schedule Find Task(s) for the week, Summarize with AI, then Create Note on the deal
Capture new leads A Taskade form or webhook Create Person, then Create Deal in the first stage

To describe an automation in plain words instead, ask Taskade EVE in your workspace. For example:

Build an automation that uses Pipedrive. When the trigger fires, add a task with the details to a project that I pick. Do not add any other steps yet.

The last sentence of the prompt keeps the first draft small, so you can test one step before you add more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Pipedrive records can an automation change?

An automation uses your personal API token, so it can see and change only the records that your Pipedrive user can access.

Can I react only to won deals?

Yes. Use the Updated Deal trigger, then add a Branch step that checks the deal status. The trigger output also includes the old values, so you can test what changed.
