Overview
Taskade brings your existing projects, notes, and tasks across from other apps. The source can be a note-taking tool, a project management platform, or a personal knowledge base. In every case, the import keeps your content structure, so you can start work right away.
TL;DR: Bring your projects, notes, and tasks into Taskade from 12 supported sources including Notion, Trello, Todoist, and Markdown. Export from the source app, then use the New Project arrow to import and keep your headings, lists, checkboxes, and formatting intact.
How to Import Projects
Go to a Workspace or Folder where you want the imported content to appear.
Click the arrow next to the ➕ New Project button.
Select Import and choose one of the available options.
Upload or connect the file from your source platform.
Click Import to finish.

Tips
- Export first, then import. Most platforms let you export your data as Markdown, JSON, or CSV. Export your content from the source app before you start the import in Taskade.
- Check folder structure. Imported content lands in the workspace or folder you selected. To keep imported content separate from your existing projects, create a dedicated folder first.
- Large imports. If you import many files at once, give Taskade a few moments to process them. If new projects do not appear right away, refresh the page.
- Formatting. Taskade preserves headings, lists, checkboxes, and basic formatting from Markdown-based sources. Complex embeds and platform-specific widgets do not always carry over.
- Duplicate prevention. Running the same import twice can create duplicate projects. Check your workspace before re-importing.
