Overview
Share a Taskade Genesis app as a kit, either free or paid. When another person clones it, Taskade pays you AI credits. Taskade also posts an activity entry that names the app and the person who cloned it.
TL;DR: Open Share as kit in the Publish menu, then choose Free or Paid. Both modes make the app cloneable, and both earn the same credit reward. Each qualifying clone adds AI credits to your balance and posts an entry in your Activity feed. A daily maximum applies. Browse published apps in the Community Gallery.
Understand how the reward works
The reward pays per clone, not per run. Each qualifying clone adds a fixed amount of AI credits to your balance.
- Free and paid kits both pay. The reward does not depend on the price. A paid kit earns the same credits once the buyer completes the purchase and the clone runs.
- The app must carry your creator profile. Taskade resolves the reward through the community profile attached to the published app.
- A different person must clone it. Cloning your own app pays nothing.
- A daily maximum applies. After you reach it, further clones that day still appear in your activity feed. They pay no credits until the next day.
Publish an app that people can clone
Cloning is opt-in for each app. Publishing an app to the web alone does not make it cloneable.
- Open your Taskade Genesis app.
- Click Publish in the header.
- Open Share as kit.
- Choose Free, or choose Paid and save a price. Either choice also sets visibility to Public, so there is no separate step for it.
- Review the disclosure, then share the kit link.
A paid kit asks the other person to buy it before they can clone it. The clone itself, and the credits it pays you, work the same way in both modes.
To stop new clones, set Share as kit to Off. Your app stays published.

Track what you earned
Taskade records each clone in your activity feed rather than in a billing report.
- Open Activity.
- Look for an entry that names the person and the app.
- Read the credit amount in the entry.

To see your resulting balance, open Settings → Usage. Clone rewards appear as Usage credits. They stay separate from Monthly credits and do not expire.
Grow what you earn
- Solve a sharp problem. A focused app, such as an invoice generator or a weekly planner, gets cloned more often than a broad one.
- Write a strong first line. Visitors read your app description before they clone.
- Keep the app current. When you improve the app, publish the new version.
- Publish more than one app. The daily maximum applies to you, not to a single app. A wider catalog fills it faster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I earn again from AI usage inside the cloned app?
No. The reward pays once per qualifying clone. The person who cloned your app pays for their own AI usage after that.
Does a paid kit earn the same reward?
Yes. The credit reward is the same for a free kit and a paid kit. A paid kit pays it once the buyer completes the purchase and clones the app.
Do I earn credits from cloning my own app?
No. Taskade skips the reward for the creator of the app.
Why did a clone pay me nothing?
You reached the daily maximum, or the published app carries no community profile. Open your community profile and make sure that your published app is listed on it.
Where do I see my credit balance?
Open Settings → Usage. The page shows Monthly credits and Usage credits separately. Clone rewards appear in Usage credits.
