How do I change my email in Taskade?

Overview

Your Taskade account email is used for login, notifications, and password recovery. You can change it at any time from your account settings. If you signed up with a Single Sign-On provider (Google, Apple, etc.), there is an extra step to create a password first.


Changing Email in Taskade

  1. Click your profile picture (top right-hand corner) and select ⚙️ Settings.
  2. Use the Email field to enter your new email and click Save.
  3. We will send a verification email to your new address with a confirmation link (check your SPAM folder).
  4. Click the confirmation link to verify the new email address. The change will not take effect until you verify.

💡 Note: Received an error where the email address is already taken? Try changing to a temporary email address first, saving, then changing to the desired address. This resets the email change request.

Changing Email from SSO (Google, Apple, etc.)

If your Taskade account uses Single Sign-On, you need to create a password before you can change the email:

  1. Go to https://www.taskade.com/forgot.
  2. Enter your current email address and click Reset Password.
  3. You will receive an email with a password reset link.
  4. Click the link and create a new password.
  5. Log in to Taskade using your current email address and your new password.

Once done, follow the steps under Changing Email in Taskade above to update your email.


Tips

  • Verification is required. The new email address will not be active until you click the confirmation link. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
  • Update your password manager. After changing your email, update the stored credentials in your password manager so future logins use the correct address.
  • Team notifications. Changing your email does not affect your workspace memberships or project access. Your teammates will continue to see your display name as before.
  • Multiple accounts. If you have more than one Taskade account and want to merge them, contact [email protected] for assistance.
