Overview

You can cancel a Taskade subscription in under a minute from Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel Plan. Your workspace stays on the paid plan until the end of the current billing cycle, then reverts to Free. All projects, agents, and automations are preserved — only premium features pause.

TL;DR: Go to Settings → BillingManage SubscriptionCancel Plan. Access continues until the cycle ends. To switch tiers instead of cancelling, pick a new plan from the same screen — upgrades apply immediately, downgrades at the next renewal.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of your current billing cycle.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Manage Subscription.
  3. Select Cancel Plan.
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation.

💡 Note: After cancellation, your workspace reverts to the Free plan at the end of the billing cycle. Your projects, agents, and automations are preserved — you just won't be able to use premium features until you resubscribe.

How to Switch Plans

Want to upgrade or downgrade instead of cancelling?

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Manage Subscription.
  3. Select a new plan (Starter, Pro, Business, Max, or Enterprise).
  4. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the next billing cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I lose my data if I cancel?

No. Your projects, agents, and automations are preserved. You'll revert to Free plan limits.

Can I resubscribe later?

Yes, you can resubscribe to any paid plan at any time from Settings → Billing.

I was charged after cancelling. What happened?

If you cancelled mid-cycle, the charge was for the current period. Your access continues until the cycle ends. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll investigate.

How do I switch from monthly to annual billing?

Go to Settings → BillingManage Subscription and select the annual option. You'll save up to 20% compared to monthly pricing.

What is your refund policy?

Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of the charge. For annual plans cancelled mid-cycle, pro-rated refunds may be available. To request a refund, contact support with your Stripe receipt, email address, and charge date.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

All your projects, agents, automations, files, and workspace structure are preserved indefinitely. Nothing is deleted. You revert to Free plan limits at the end of your billing cycle. You can re-subscribe at any time and pick up exactly where you left off — all your content will be there.

What happens to my active automations and AI agents?

When your plan reverts to Free:

  • AI-powered automations (steps that invoke AI models) will pause when AI credits are exhausted
  • Non-AI automations (webhooks, triggers, data sync) continue running normally
  • AI agents remain configured but will not respond to triggers or chat until credits are available
  • Published Taskade Genesis apps continue to run — published apps do not consume credits

Re-subscribing or purchasing a credit pack restores full AI functionality immediately.

I got charged but I thought I cancelled — what happened?

Check Settings → Billing to confirm the cancellation was processed. Charges during the final billing cycle are expected — your access continues until the cycle ends. If the charge occurred after your cycle end date, contact support for a refund.

Tips

  • Review before cancelling. Consider switching to a lower plan instead of cancelling entirely. Downgrading preserves premium features until the billing cycle ends and keeps your workspace activated.
  • Export your data. Although your content is preserved after cancellation, you can export projects to Markdown at any time for a local backup.
  • Team workspaces. If you are the workspace Owner and you cancel, other members on that workspace will also lose access to premium features once the cycle ends. Communicate changes to your team in advance.
