Buy a Custom Domain Inside Taskade

Overview

You can buy a custom domain for your Taskade Genesis app without leaving Taskade. We handle the registrar, DNS, and SSL on your behalf, so the domain points at your app the moment payment clears. No Cloudflare tab, no nameserver edits, no waiting for propagation runbooks.

TL;DR: Open App settings → Launch → Domains inside your Taskade Genesis app, search a name, pay with the card on file, and the domain attaches automatically. DNS, SSL, and renewals are all handled for you. Available on every paid plan. To bring a domain you already own, see Custom Domains.

Two ways to get a domain

Pick the path that fits. Both unlock on the same Business and above tier, and both finish with automatic DNS and SSL.

Buy a new domain

The whole flow takes about a minute on a good name.

1. Open the app you want to brand.
2. Open App settings and go to Launch → Domains.
3. Type the name you want. Suggestions appear with available TLDs and prices.
4. Pick a TLD and click Buy.
5. Confirm the charge on the card on file. The domain reserves immediately.
6. Watch the status badge move from Configuring to Live. Most domains are live in under five minutes.

Once Live, your app answers on the new URL. Any old /spaces/{spaceId} link keeps working as a redirect.

Use the domain on your app

Once the domain is Live, it becomes the canonical URL for your Space.

Give each client app a subdomain

A domain that you bought in Taskade can give each client app its own address, such as acme.youragency.com. Taskade sets up the new address for you, so you change nothing at your domain provider.

1. Open the client app. It must be in the workspace that bought the domain, or in one of its subspaces.
2. Go to App settings → Launch → Domains.
3. Click Connect existing domain.
4. Under Use a subdomain of your domain, look at the Subdomain field. Taskade fills it in from the app name.
5. Change the name if you want. Use letters, numbers, and single hyphens.
6. Click Add subdomain.

You are done when the domain list shows the new address. A subdomain of a bought domain does not count toward the custom domain limit of your plan.

Manage the domain after you buy it

Open App settings → Launch → Domains and click the domain to open its control panel. It holds everything a registrar dashboard shows, without a second login.

Renewals and transfers

Annual auto-renew is on by default, and the domain renews on its own. To renew by hand, turn off the Renewal switch in the control panel above. Leave it on unless you have a reason to change it. An expired domain takes your app offline with it.

To transfer a domain out to another registrar, open a support ticket. We send the auth code, unlock the domain, and confirm the transfer in your inbox. Transfer fees follow the receiving registrar's policy, not ours.

Plan availability

Buying a domain inside Taskade works on every paid plan. A domain that you buy is its own purchase and does not count toward the custom-domain limit. The exact tier mapping:

Tips

A few habits keep the launch clean.

• Buy the domain first, then publish. Avoids one round of share-link cleanup later.
• For brand campaigns, buy the matching .com plus a short ccTLD like .io or .app. Point them at the same Space.
• Use one Space per brand. Splitting brands across Spaces keeps analytics, sign-in, and billing tidy.
