Run a Storefront with Taskade Genesis

Updated 2026-09-02·5 min read

Overview

Taskade Genesis builds a working storefront in one prompt. Projects hold your product catalog, orders, and customer history. Taskade EVE writes product descriptions and marketing copy in your brand voice. Automations process payments, fulfill orders, trigger shipping notifications, and decrement inventory as orders come in. The App UI is a branded shop your customers browse and buy from.

TL;DR: Turn a prompt into a full storefront in Taskade Genesis. Product catalog, Stripe checkout, order table, customer accounts, and a live analytics dashboard. Replaces standalone commerce SaaS for simple catalogs. Starts free. More capacity comes with paid plans. Build the app or see a live example.

Run a storefront with Taskade Genesis

What You Will Build

  1. A Product catalog in Table view with inventory, pricing, variants, and images.
  2. A Branded shop front with search, filters, product pages, and cart, all auto-generated.
  3. An Order processing chain: Stripe payment, inventory update, email confirmation, shipping label, fulfillment status.
  4. A Customer account area where buyers view order history and track shipments.
  5. A Live analytics dashboard showing revenue, top products, and conversion rate.

Step 1. Generate the Base App

Open Taskade Genesis and paste this prompt.

Build a branded storefront.
Product catalog fields: name, description, price, inventory, image, variant,
tags. Order fields: customer, email, items, total, status, tracking.
Include product pages, cart, Stripe checkout, email confirmations,
inventory auto-decrement, a customer portal with order history, and an
analytics dashboard with revenue by day and top products by conversion.

Taskade Genesis ships a Projects workspace, a published storefront, five automations, and Taskade EVE pre-wired as the in-app assistant.

Step 2. Load the Product Catalog

Open the products Project in Table view.

  1. Add one row per product. Fill in name, price, and inventory count.
  2. Drop product images into the image column.
  3. Ask Taskade EVE to "write product descriptions for rows 1 to 20 in a playful but professional tone". Descriptions appear instantly.

Save. Every product becomes a live page on the published shop.

Step 3. Add Stripe

Open Automations and find the Checkout automation.

  1. Pick Stripe from the integrations catalog. Paste your publishable key.
  2. Open Inventory Sync and confirm it decrements the products table on each paid order.

Checkout now runs through Stripe, inventory updates in your products table, and every order lands in your Taskade workspace within seconds.

Step 4. Shipping and Fulfillment

Open the fulfillment automation chain.

  1. Pick a shipping provider (Shippo, EasyPost, or manual). Paste the API key.
  2. Tune the email template for each status: Paid, Printed, Shipped, Delivered.
  3. Taskade EVE draws the tracking info into each email automatically.

If you sell digital goods, swap the shipping step for a download link delivered by email. If you sell a subscription, swap for a Stripe subscription plan.

Common Storefront Patterns

Pattern How Taskade Genesis handles it
Digital downloads Swap the shipping step for a signed download link. Link expires after 7 days by default.
Limited inventory drops Set a launch time on a class or product. Automation publishes at the schedule trigger.
Pre-orders Add a pre_order status. Payment captures immediately or holds until ship date.
Subscriptions Use Stripe subscription mode. Customer portal lets them pause, upgrade, or cancel.
Discount codes Add a promo field. Automation validates the code against the promo Project before checkout.
Multi-currency Taskade EVE formats prices per locale. Stripe handles the exchange at checkout.
Abandoned cart Automation watches for carts older than 24 hours and emails a gentle nudge.

Who This Works For

Role Typical setup
Indie maker 5 to 50 products, digital + physical, Stripe only.
E-commerce brand 100 to 1,000 SKUs, multi-currency, multi-tier discounts.
Course creator Digital downloads or subscriptions, Stripe, no shipping.
Print-on-demand seller Printful or Printify integration, hands-off fulfillment.
Wholesale distributor Multi-tier pricing, purchase order flow, invoice automation.

Publish the Shop

When the app feels right, click Publish.

  1. Pick a custom domain like shop.yourbrand.com.
  2. Turn on App Users so customers get a real account with order history.
  3. Add your social links and brand colors. Taskade EVE rewrites the site theme on confirm.

Every sale feeds back into the same workspace. Product pages, stock counts, revenue, and customer memory all update in one place. The shop gets smarter the more you sell.
