# Earn Credits When Others Clone

Share a Taskade Genesis app as a kit, and Taskade pays you AI credits each time another person clones it. An activity entry names the app and the person who cloned it.

A published Taskade Genesis app and a community profile are all that you need.

## Understand How the Reward Works

The reward pays once for each clone, not for each run.

| Rule | What it means for you |

| **Free and paid kits both pay** | The credit reward does not depend on the price. A paid kit pays it after the buyer completes the purchase and clones the app. |

| **A daily maximum applies** | After you reach it, new clones that day still show in your activity feed, but they pay no credits until the next day. |

## Step 1: Let Others Clone Your App

Cloning is opt-in for each app. Publishing to the web alone does not make an app cloneable.

1. Open your Taskade Genesis app.
2. In the header, click **Publish**.
3. Find **Let others clone** (called **Share as kit** before October 2026).
4. Click the pill on the right, then choose **Free**. To sell the kit, choose **Paid** and save a price.
5. Share the kit link.

Hover over the row to read what a clone copies. **Free** and **Paid** both turn on **Show in public listings**, so you do not need a separate step. ## Step 2: Track What You Earned

Taskade records each clone in your activity feed, not in a billing report.

1. Open [Activity](https://www.taskade.com/activity).
2. Find an entry that names the person and the app.
3. Read the credit amount in the entry.

An entry reads like this: "[Name] has cloned your app [App name]. You've gained [amount] credits." If you already reached the daily maximum, the entry says so and pays nothing.

## You Are Done When

A clone entry shows in [Activity](https://www.taskade.com/activity), and the credits show under **Extra Credits** on [Settings → Credits](https://www.taskade.com/settings/usage). Extra Credits do not expire.

## Tips

- **Solve a sharp problem.** A focused app, such as an invoice generator or a weekly planner, gets cloned more often than a broad one.
- **Write a strong first line.** Visitors read your app description before they clone.
- **Keep the app current.** When you improve the app, publish the new version.
- **Publish more than one app.** The daily maximum applies to you, not to one app. A wider catalog fills it faster.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Do I earn again from AI usage inside the cloned app?**

No. The reward pays once for each qualifying clone. The person who cloned your app pays for their own AI usage after that.

**Does a paid kit earn the same reward?**

Yes. The credit reward is the same for a free kit and a paid kit. A paid kit pays it after the buyer completes the purchase and clones the app.

**Do I earn credits from cloning my own app?**

No. Only a clone by a different person pays a reward.

**Why did a clone pay me nothing?**

You reached the daily maximum, or the published app carries no community profile. Open your [community profile](https://www.taskade.com/learn/account/community-profiles) and make sure that your published app is listed on it.

**Where do I see my credit balance?**

Open [Settings → Credits](https://www.taskade.com/settings/usage). The page shows Monthly Credits and Extra Credits separately. Clone rewards appear in Extra Credits.
