Pick the command by the result you want. The Toolbar column shows the commands that run on a selection of tasks. The / menu column shows the commands that run on one task.

How It Works
Taskade joins the selected tasks into one text, runs the command once, and shows one result.
Step 1: Select Multiple Tasks
When you select tasks, a toolbar with the AI buttons opens.

Step 2: Run an AI Command
One command runs once on the whole selection.
- In the toolbar, click AI Assistant.
- Pick a command from the list, for example Summarize.
- Wait for the result to show.
Step 3: Insert or Replace the Result
You decide where the result goes.

Tip: Use Insert first. If you do not like the result, press
Cmd + ZorCtrl + Zto undo.
Run a Command on One Task
The / menu runs an AI command on the task that you are in.
- Click in a task.
- Type
/to open the menu. The AI group is at the top. - Pick a command, for example Subtask or Translate.
- Click Insert to add the result as subtasks, or Replace to swap the task for the result.
The command reads the text of that one task, not its subtasks. To give more instructions, type in the box under the result. See Slash Commands for the full menu.
Run Your Agent's Commands on Many Tasks
Your own AI agents can carry commands, for example "Write a product description". You can run them on a selection like a built-in command.
- Create an agent, or open one. See Custom AI Agents.
- In the agent editor, open Actions, then Commands. Add a command with a name and a prompt.
- Go back to your project and select the tasks.
- In the toolbar, click AI Agent.
- Pick the agent command from the list.
- Click Insert or Replace.
To change the result, type a new instruction in the box under it and send it. If you have no agents yet, the list shows Create Agent.
You Are Done When
The result shows in your project where you chose: after the tasks, or in their place.
Prompt Examples
Agent commands work best with a clear job and a clear format. Add prompts like these as agent commands.
Write a product description
Write a 50-word product description for each task. Use a friendly tone. Keep each
description under the task it belongs to. Do not add prices.
Why this works: The prompt gives a length, a tone, and a place for each result.
Sort feedback by theme
Group these customer comments by theme. Give each theme a short heading and list the
comments under it. Do not change the wording of the comments.
Why this works: The last line keeps the original comments intact.
Tips
- Select only the tasks that the command needs. A smaller selection gives a sharper result.
- Use Prioritize on a to-do list, then Estimate to plan the week.
- Run Research on one topic task, then Turn into Action Items on the report.
- To fill a table column with AI, use Fill with AI instead.
Troubleshooting
Find what you see, then do the fix.
