What are project views?
Project views are 9 visual layers over a single set of project data. The same tasks appear as a checklist, a kanban board, a spreadsheet, a radial map, a document, a timeline, a calendar, a simple sheet, or an org tree. Mark a task done in the board and it reads done in the list, the table, and the calendar. There is one source of truth, not nine copies.
This matters because most teams fragment their work across tools. The deadline lives in a calendar, the status lives in a kanban app, the data lives in a spreadsheet, and they drift apart by Wednesday. A view is only a lens, so nothing drifts. Change the data once and pick the lens that fits the question you're answering.
The project views at a glance

What is each project view best for?
Each view answers a different question. List answers "what's next," board answers "where does this stand," calendar answers "what's due," and so on. Pick the view by the decision you need to make, then switch when the question changes.

How do you switch between views?
You switch views from the toolbar at the top of any project. Tap a tab, or open More Views for the remaining five, and the same tasks re-render in the new layout in place. Is Timeline a separate view?
No. Timeline is part of the Gantt Chart view, not a standalone view. Gantt Chart shows task bars across a scrolling timeline with dependencies and milestones, and that scrolling timeline component lives inside it. Taskade has multiple project views, and Timeline is a feature of one of them.
Why do all views share the same data?
All views read and write the same project record, so a change in one view appears in every other view at once. Move a card to "Done" in the board and the calendar, list, and table reflect it instantly. This is the difference between a view and a separate tool. A view is a lens on one dataset; a separate tool is another copy you have to reconcile.
