Choose Who Opens Your App & New Automation Steps
Choose Who Can Open Your App
The Publish menu of your Taskade Genesis app now starts with one question: Who can open it. See Publish Your App for every option.
- Pick Anyone with the link, Anyone with the password, or Each person signs in
- The public listing and the other settings are now under More options
- Your first finished build goes live at a private link. Search engines do not list it. Until you make the app public, the Publish button shows Live, unlisted (only people with the link)
- In the Taskade EVE chat, the version card and the ready banner now show Publish as the last button. After your app is live, the banner shows Copy link
More Steps for Your Automations
Your automations get new steps for the apps that you already use, and two new integrations. See Automation Actions to add one.
- Gmail: Get Thread, List Threads, and Create Draft Reply
- Slack: Schedule Channel Message, List Thread Replies, List Channels, Get Message Link, Delete Message, and more
- Google Sheets and Google Calendar: Get Rows, Read Range, Create Worksheet, List Calendars, and triggers for a new or canceled event
- Notion: Search Pages and Databases, Create Page Under a Page, and an Updated Database Item trigger
- SendGrid sends email and adds contacts to a list. New Event in Calendar Feed starts an automation from an Apple, Google, or Outlook calendar link
The Utilities steps now also work with dates, and they can hash, sign, encode, and decode text. On the Add Task step, set Match by to update a task that already matches. Then the step does not add a duplicate.
Sign-In Pages That Match Your App
The sign-in page of your Taskade Genesis app now uses the colors, font, name, and icon of your app. This works in light and dark mode. See Built-In Login for Your Apps to turn on sign-in.
- The sign-in page also opens at
/loginand/signupon your app, unless a page of your app already uses that address - On an app where only invited people can join, a sign-up link shows the sign-in form with a short note
Find Any Taskade EVE Chat
Cmd+K now has a Chats section. Find any of your Taskade EVE chats by its title, and open it in its app.
- Before you type, the Running list in Cmd+K shows the chats where Taskade EVE is still at work
- The chat tabs now show when a chat is busy in another browser tab or on another device
- If another chat is still busy, Open in a new tab moves your draft to a new tab, and you can continue there
Fixes
- When an email step skips an address outside your workspace, it now shows Skipped and the reason. It no longer shows a green success
- Gmail now sends to every hidden (Bcc) recipient, and a reply stays in its thread
- If a Gmail or Todoist step cannot find an email or get access, the error now tells you what to fix
- The welcome video for a new account now plays in a small corner card. You can type your first prompt right away
- Only a workspace owner can now make themselves the owner of a folder
