Website to App is the way to start a Taskade Genesis app from a website that you already have. You paste the address of your site into the prompt at /create. Taskade EVE reads the page, learns what your business does, and uses it as the brief for the app. You do not rebuild your content by hand.
TL;DR: Paste your website URL at /create and say what the app must do. Taskade EVE reads the text of the page and builds the app, its projects, its AI agents and its automations. On a paid plan, Taskade EVE can also copy images and files from web addresses into Media Files. Learn: Import a web page
What Is Website to App?
Website to App turns a static site into a working system. A website shows information. A Taskade Genesis app also stores records, answers questions with AI agents, and runs automations. Your website gives Taskade EVE the facts about your business, so the first build already speaks about your services, your products and your customers.
| Your website has | Your app adds |
|---|---|
| Pages about your services | A booking form and a booking record for each client |
| A product list | A store dashboard with orders and stock |
| A contact page | An AI agent that answers from your own knowledge |
| A team page | A client portal with sign-in and status |
How Website to App Works
Website to App runs in one prompt. Taskade EVE does the reading, and you describe the result that you want.

- Go to /create.
- Paste your website URL into the prompt.
- Add what the app must do, for example "Turn this into a booking app with reminders."
- Send the prompt, then change the result in plain words.
Taskade EVE reads one page for each address. Paste the address of each page that you want it to read.
What Comes Across From Your Website
Taskade EVE reads the readable text of the page: the words, the title and the description. The text becomes part of your Workspace DNA, so your agents and automations can use it later.
Images and files are a separate step, because Taskade EVE reads only the text when it reads a page. On a paid plan, give Taskade EVE a list of image and file addresses, and it can copy those files into Media Files in your workspace. On every plan, you can save a web page as a media item from Media Files with the Import option, or add your logo and images with Upload File.
When to Use Website to App
Use Website to App when your business already has a site and you want software around it: a portal, a booking system, a CRM or a store dashboard. Start from the Taskade App Factory instead when a ready-made kit is close to what you need.
