A controlled room where invited parties sign in, work through an indexed document set, and ask questions in one place. Diligence, audits, and board reviews stop being a folder link with a password taped to it.
The Internal Docs App is a live Taskade Genesis app embedded on this page and the nearest starting point for a data room. See how a structured, summarized document set is organized, then choose "Use this app" to clone it in about ten seconds, add sign-in and per-party scoping, and build your own room inside it.
The build gives you an indexed room with real access control. The index is organized by section, each document carries an owner, a status, and a short summary, and a request list tracks what the other side has asked for and what is still outstanding. Access is by invited email only, tagged by party, so an acquirer's legal team and their finance team can be scoped differently if you want. A questions log keeps every query and its answer beside the document it relates to, which is exactly the record you want when someone asks in month three what was disclosed in month one.
The request list is the spine of the whole process. Every diligence exercise is really a queue of asks, each with an owner and a deadline, and most of them stall because nobody can see the queue. Putting it in the room, visible to both sides, changes the dynamic: the other side can see what has been answered, your team can see what is outstanding, and the weekly status call becomes a scan of one board rather than an hour of reconciliation. Attaching the questions log to the documents themselves means the answer stays with the evidence.
Workspace DNA runs the room. Memory holds every document, request, and answer. Intelligence, powered by 15+ frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-weight providers, summarizes each document into the index, drafts answers to routine questions from the material already in the room, and flags gaps in the request list. Execution notifies owners of new requests and chases anything outstanding.
The room renders in every layout you need:
- List view for the indexed, sectioned document set the other side reads
- Table view for your internal register with owner, status, and request source
- Board view for moving requests through received, in progress, and answered
- Calendar view for the diligence timetable and response deadlines
- Plus Mind Map, Gantt, and Org Chart across the 7 project views
Automations keep the process moving. Connect Taskade automations so a new request notifies the document owner, an uploaded document marks the request answered and notifies the other side, and an outstanding item past its deadline escalates. With 100+ bidirectional integrations, your storage tools pull documents in, while email and Slack push requests and notifications out.
Agree the index structure with the other side before you upload anything. Fifteen minutes on section names saves days of re-filing later, and a room organized the way the reviewers think produces far fewer clarifying requests.
The AI agents in the app carry 34 built-in tools including file analysis, web search, and persistent memory. An agent reads a newly uploaded document, writes the index summary, and tells you which outstanding request it satisfies.
Clone the app, invite the parties, and the room is yours. Access ends the moment you disable a seat, and the record of what was shared stays with you. Sign-in and custom domains are available on Business plans and up, $25/mo billed annually, and App Users is in beta. Taskade runs as a hosted service, so plan your process around that.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can get into the room?
Only people you invite by email, and only for as long as their seat is active. Everyone else reaches the sign-in screen and nothing more.
Can I see who accessed what?
You can see who signed in and when from the App Users table, and track document status and question activity inside the room itself.
Can different parties see different sections?
Yes. Tag people by party and scope sections to those tags, so counsel and finance can be given different slices of the same room.
How do I track outstanding requests?
Keep a request list with an owner and a deadline per item. The Board view shows what is received, in progress, and answered at a glance.
Can the AI summarize the documents?
Yes. File analysis writes a short summary into the index for each document, which makes a large room navigable for both sides.
What happens when the process ends?
Disable the seats. Access ends on the next request and your document set, request log, and answers stay in your workspace as the record.
Is this suitable for sensitive material?
Treat it as an operational room and apply your own judgement about what belongs in it. Taskade is a hosted service, so follow whatever internal handling rules your business already has.
How should I structure the index?
By the sections the other side works in, typically corporate, financial, commercial, people, and technical. Their reviewers are usually split along those lines, so an index matching that split routes requests correctly on its own.
