Every client gets a page listing their invoices, amounts, due dates, and payment status, with the paid ones marked and the overdue ones obvious. It goes live in minutes and it ends the "can you resend that invoice" email thread for good.
The nearest app in the gallery is the Customer Health Dashboard, a live Taskade Genesis app you can use right on this page. Sort it, filter it, watch a real per-account view behave like a running system, then choose "Use this app" to clone your own copy in about ten seconds and swap the health columns for invoice, amount, due date, and payment status. That is the try-then-clone advantage: you see how it works before you commit a single client record to it.
The build gives you an invoice register as a connected project with the fields that matter: invoice number, client, issue date, due date, amount, status, and a link to the document itself. The portal renders that register as a scoped page, so a signed-in client sees their own invoices and never another account's numbers. A running balance sits at the top, the overdue rows are flagged, and each row can open the PDF you attached.
What the client sees mid-month matters more than the ledger itself. They open the page and get one number at the top, which is what they currently owe, then a list ordered newest first with the paid rows quietly styled down and the overdue rows obvious. Each row shows the invoice number, the period it covers, the amount, and a link to the document. That is the whole page, and it answers the three questions clients actually have: how much, for what, and by when. Everything else, including your internal notes about payment behavior, stays on the team side of the same record.
Workspace DNA holds it together. Memory keeps every invoice and the payment history behind it. Intelligence, powered by 15+ frontier models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-weight providers, drafts the reminder copy, summarizes a client's account in a sentence, and answers "what do I still owe" inside the portal. Execution sends the reminder on the due date without anyone chasing it.
The same register renders in every layout you need:
- Table view for the full invoice ledger with amount, status, and age columns
- Calendar view for due dates laid out across the month
- Board view for moving invoices through draft, sent, paid, and overdue
- List view for the simple client-facing history your customer reads
- Plus Mind Map, Gantt, and Org Chart across the 7 project views
Automations do the chasing. Connect Taskade automations so an invoice crossing its due date sends a polite reminder, a payment marks the row paid, and a second missed date notifies the account owner in Slack. With 100+ bidirectional integrations, Stripe and Gmail pull payment and billing signals in, while email and Slack push reminders and confirmations back out. See Stripe checkout and Invoice automation for the wiring.
Get the reference numbers right before you invite anyone. The invoice number on the portal must be the number on the document and the number in your accounting system, because the moment those three disagree you have created work rather than removed it. Mirror whatever your finance tool issues and treat that field as read-only in the portal.
The AI agents in the app carry 34 built-in tools including file analysis and persistent memory, so an agent can read an uploaded invoice, pull out the amount and due date, and file it against the right client without manual entry.
Clone the app, invite your finance lead, and the ledger stays yours. Client sign-in and custom domains are available on Business plans and up, $25/mo billed annually, and App Users is in beta.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this replace my invoicing software?
It does not have to. Most teams keep issuing invoices where they already do and use the portal as the client-facing history, kept current by an integration. If you prefer to run billing here as well, the register plus automations covers issuing, reminding, and tracking.
Can clients pay from the portal?
You can put a payment link on each unpaid row and wire a Stripe checkout step through Taskade automations. The client clicks through, pays, and the row flips to paid when the payment event comes back.
How do I stop one client from seeing another client's invoices?
The page is scoped to the signed-in app user. Their verified email matches their rows and nothing else is rendered. Read the detail in Show Each Client Only Their Own Records.
Can I attach the actual invoice PDF?
Yes. Each invoice row can carry the document, so the client opens the exact file you sent rather than a summary of it. Uploads work both ways: see App uploads.
Will the reminders sound like me?
They will if you tell the agent how you write. Give it two examples of your usual reminder and it matches the register and length. See Brand voice.
What if my invoice numbers come from another system?
Keep them. The invoice number is just a field, so you mirror whatever your accounting tool issues and use it as the shared reference between the two systems.
Can my team see every client's invoices in one place?
Yes. Your team works in the full Table view of the same project while each client sees only their scoped slice, so there is one ledger and two audiences.
Can I show quotes and estimates alongside invoices?
Yes. Keep a type field on the register and render quotes, estimates, and invoices in the same list with different labels. Clients generally like seeing an accepted quote sit above the invoice it produced, because the chain is obvious without asking anyone.
