What does this Google Drive automation do?
A weekly pass lists the folder and writes a plain-language index into a project.
What can you do with it?
- Describe what is in the folder, not just its filenames
- Give new joiners a map
- Refresh the index without maintaining it
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Schedule — Every Week
- Then Google Drive — List files
- Then Taskade AI — Run Agent Command ("Folder Librarian")
- Then Taskade — Create Project
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Folder Librarian" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your folder structure and naming conventions, remembers everything it has already indexed, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by your other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for teams with a folder nobody can navigate. A weekly pass lists the folder and writes a plain-language index into a project.
How do you set it up?
- Open the "Automations" tab in your workspace.
- Click ➕ Add automation, then start from scratch.
- Add the trigger "Every Week" from Schedule.
- Add the action "List files" from Google Drive.
