What does this automation do?
Email a request to your workspace and an agent turns it into a custom workflow, opened from the closest matching template.
What can you do with it?
- Start a custom workflow from a plain email, with no form to fill in
- Get the closest template chosen for you rather than guessed at
- Keep the original request attached to the project it created
- Let anyone kick off a workflow without learning the builder
The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When Taskade — Mailhook
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Request Architect")
- Then Taskade — Create Project From Template
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Request Architect" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your template library and how requests map to it, remembers the custom workflows it has already built, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for teams who want to start a workflow by writing an email. Email a request to your workspace and an agent turns it into a custom workflow, opened from the closest matching template.
