What does this automation do?
A failed invoice payment is assessed by an agent, raised as owned work, and sent directly to the person who can fix it.
What can you do with it?
- Escalate the payments that actually need a human
- Reach the right owner directly instead of a shared channel
- Keep the account history with the escalation
- Recover more failed payments before the retry window closes
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Stripe — Invoice Payment Failed
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Escalation Owner")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
- Then Slack — Send Direct Message
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Escalation Owner" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your accounts, plans, and escalation thresholds, remembers which accounts have failed before, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for finance and revenue teams chasing failed payments. A failed invoice payment is assessed by an agent, raised as owned work, and sent directly to the person who can fix it.
