What does this automation do?
An agent mid-conversation runs this flow itself to pull a customer’s real order history, read it, and post a plain answer back onto the task.
What can you do with it?
- Let the agent fetch the real order instead of guessing from the message
- Answer with the actual line items, dates and status
- Keep the lookup on the record, so the next person sees what was checked
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Agent Tool
- Then Shopify — Get Customer Orders
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Order Desk")
- Then Taskade — Add Comment
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Order Desk" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your catalog, shipping windows and returns policy, remembers which orders it has already looked up, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for support agents answering "where is my order" without leaving the thread. An agent mid-conversation runs this flow itself to pull a customer’s real order history, read it, and post a plain answer back onto the task.
