The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When Taskade — Task Added
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Issue Writer")
- Then Jira — Create Issue

The "Issue Writer" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your Jira projects, issue types, components and labels, remembers how earlier tasks from this team were filed, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.

How do you set it up?
- Open the "Automations" tab in your workspace.
- Click ➕ Add automation, then start from scratch.
- Add the trigger "Task Added" from Taskade.
- Add the action "Ask Agent" from Taskade AI. Point it at an agent called "Issue Writer".
- Add the action "Create Issue" from Jira.
- Enable the toggle in the top-right corner to activate the automation.
