What does this automation do?
Each new message is read by a named agent that already knows your service tiers, then filed as an owned task with the reasoning attached.
What can you do with it?
- Sort the inbox before a person opens it, not after
- Give every message an owner instead of a shared unread count
- Keep the reasoning on the task rather than in a reply thread
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Microsoft Outlook — New Email
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Inbox Triage")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
- Then Taskade — Assign Task
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Inbox Triage" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your service tiers, product areas and escalation rules, remembers which senders escalated last time and how it ended, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for support and operations teams working a shared Outlook mailbox. Each new message is read by a named agent that already knows your service tiers, then filed as an owned task with the reasoning attached.
