What does this Mailchimp automation do?
New customers are scored first, and only the ones worth nurturing are added to the list.
What can you do with it?
- Add fewer, better subscribers
- Keep the score with the decision
- Avoid list bloat from one-time buyers
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Shopify — New Customer
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("List Gatekeeper")
- Then Filter — continue only when the contact passed the list criteria
- Then Mailchimp — Add Contact
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "List Gatekeeper" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your list criteria and deliverability rules, remembers which contacts engaged after they were added, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by your other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for stores protecting sender reputation. New customers are scored first, and only the ones worth nurturing are added to the list.
How do you set it up?
