What does this automation do?
A new hire assignment builds the full onboarding plan, assigns each step to its owner, and chases the ones that stall.
What can you do with it?
- Build a role-specific plan instead of one generic checklist
- Assign every step to a named owner on day one
- Chase the steps that stall without a weekly reminder meeting
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Taskade — Task Assigned
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Onboarding Planner")
- Then Taskade — Create Project From Template
- Then Taskade — Assign Task
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Onboarding Planner" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your onboarding checklist for each role, remembers which steps stall for which teams, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for people operations and hiring managers. A new hire assignment builds the full onboarding plan, assigns each step to its owner, and chases the ones that stall.
