What does this automation do?
When the task is completed, an agent writes the summary and the flow pushes it into the outside system through an MCP tool call.
What can you do with it?
- Close the loop in the other system without opening it
- Send a written summary rather than a bare status flag
- Keep the record of what was sent next to the task that sent it
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Taskade — Task Completed
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Field Ops")
- Then MCP Client — Call Tool
- Then Taskade — Add Comment
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Field Ops" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your job types, service areas and completion standards, remembers every job it has written up, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for teams keeping an external system in step with Taskade. When the task is completed, an agent writes the summary and the flow pushes it into the outside system through an MCP tool call.
