What does this automation do?
When a task is assigned, Taskade calls the selected MCP tool and adds its output as a comment for the assignee to review.

- When Taskade — Task Assigned
- Then MCP Client — Call Tool
- Then Taskade — Add Comment

Built for teams that want external context ready before an assignee begins work. When a task is assigned, Taskade calls the selected MCP tool and adds its output as a comment for the assignee to review.
How do you set it up?
- Open the "Automations" tab in your workspace.
- Click ➕ Add automation, then start from scratch.
- Add the trigger "Task Assigned" from Taskade.
- Add the action "Call Tool" from MCP Client.
- Add the action "Add Comment" from Taskade.
- Enable the toggle in the top-right corner to activate the automation.
