What does this automation do?
A one-line ticket comes back with a real scope: what is being asked, what it touches, and what is still missing — posted as a ClickUp comment.
What can you do with it?
- Turn a title into something a developer can pick up
- Surface the missing information before the sprint, not during it
- Keep the scope on the ticket where the team already reads
The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When ClickUp — New Task
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Scope Writer")
- Then ClickUp — Create Task Comment
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Scope Writer" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your components, your areas and your definition of ready, remembers the questions it had to ask on earlier tickets, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for engineering and product teams drowning in one-line tickets. A one-line ticket comes back with a real scope: what is being asked, what it touches, and what is still missing — posted as a ClickUp comment.
How do you set it up?
- Open the "Automations" tab in your workspace.
