What does this automation do?
Mention the workflow in a thread and an agent team reads the conversation, writes the decision record, and posts it back.
What can you do with it?
- Capture the decision while the thread is still open
- Write the record from the full conversation, not the last message
- Put the log back in the channel so nobody has to go looking
The Steps
This automation runs in 5 steps:
- When Slack — New Mention
- Then Slack — Fetch Channel Messages
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent Team ("Decision Log")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
- Then Slack — Send Channel Message
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Decision Log" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent team — Recorder, Reviewer — that knows your architecture notes and product decisions, remembers the decisions it has already logged, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for engineering and product teams whose decisions live in chat. Mention the workflow in a thread and an agent team reads the conversation, writes the decision record, and posts it back.
