What does this automation do?
Each new email is read by a named agent that already knows your service tiers, then filed as an owned task with a due date.
What can you do with it?
- Sort the inbox before a person opens it, not after
- Keep the reasoning on the task instead of in a reply thread
- Give every message an owner and a deadline on arrival
The Steps
This automation runs in 5 steps:
- When Gmail — New Email
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Inbox Triage")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
- Then Taskade — Assign Task
- Then Taskade — Set Task Due Date
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Inbox Triage" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your service tiers and escalation rules, remembers which senders escalated last time, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
