What does this automation do?
At month end the invoices are pulled, the totals are calculated, the dates are formatted, and an agent writes the commentary around them.
What can you do with it?
- Produce the monthly number without rebuilding a pivot table
- Get the commentary written by something that saw last month too
- Keep the report next to the follow-up actions it creates
The Steps
This automation runs in 6 steps:
- When Schedule — Every Month
- Then Stripe — Search for Invoices
- Then Utilities — Sum
- Then Utilities — Format Date
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Finance Analyst")
- Then Taskade — Create Project
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Finance Analyst" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your revenue categories and reporting thresholds, remembers the totals it reported in prior months, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
