What does this Shopify automation do?
An abandoned checkout triggers an AI-drafted recovery email tailored to what was left in the cart.
What can you do with it?
- Write the recovery message from the actual cart
- Reach the shopper while intent is still warm
- Skip the generic abandoned-cart template
The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When Shopify — New Abandoned Checkout
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Cart Recovery")
- Then Taskade — Send Email
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Cart Recovery" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your catalog, margins and discount rules, remembers which recovery messages won the sale back, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by your other automations.
Who is this automation for?
