What does this Shopify automation do?
A daily product read finds low stock and creates the restock task with the numbers attached.
What can you do with it?
- Catch low stock before it sells out
- Give restocking an owner and a date
- Keep the current quantity on the task
The Steps
This automation runs in 4 steps:
- When Schedule — Every Day
- Then Shopify — Get Products
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Inventory Watch")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Inventory Watch" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your reorder points and supplier lead times, remembers which lines stocked out before, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by your other automations.
Who is this automation for?
