What does this automation do?
When a subscription changes, an agent that tracks plan and seat history decides whether it is a renewal risk and raises the task if it is.
What can you do with it?
- See a downgrade as a signal on the day it happens
- Escalate only the accounts that are genuinely at risk
- Keep a running record of every account the agent has flagged
The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When Stripe — Subscription Updated
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Renewal Watch")
- Then Taskade — Add Task
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Renewal Watch" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your plans, seat counts and renewal dates, remembers every account it has flagged at risk, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for customer success teams responsible for retention. When a subscription changes, an agent that tracks plan and seat history decides whether it is a renewal risk and raises the task if it is.
