What does this automation do?
Every new CRM contact is scored by an agent that knows your ideal customer profile, and the score is written straight back onto the record.
What can you do with it?
- Score a lead the second the contact record is created
- Apply one consistent standard instead of five reps’ instincts
- Let the agent learn which lead shapes actually closed
The Steps
This automation runs in 3 steps:
- When HubSpot — New Contact
- Then Taskade AI — Ask Agent ("Lead Qualifier")
- Then HubSpot — Update Contact
What makes this different from a Zapier-style flow?
The "Lead Qualifier" step is not a one-off model call. It is a Taskade AI agent that knows your ICP, pricing tiers and past closed-won deals, remembers which lead shapes actually closed, so every run builds on the last one instead of starting from an empty prompt.
A stateless "ask the model" step forgets everything the moment it returns. An agent keeps its knowledge and its memory between runs, carries its own tools, and can be handed work by other automations.
Who is this automation for?
Built for sales teams with more inbound than they can call. Every new CRM contact is scored by an agent that knows your ideal customer profile, and the score is written straight back onto the record.
How do you set it up?
- Open the "Automations" tab in your workspace.
- Click ➕ Add automation, then start from scratch.
- Add the trigger "New Contact" from HubSpot.
- Add the action "Ask Agent" from Taskade AI. Point it at an agent called "Lead Qualifier".
- Add the action "Update Contact" from HubSpot.
- Enable the toggle in the top-right corner to activate the automation.
