I mix up margin and markup and I am not sure which of my products actually make money. Build me a margin calculator. For each product or service let me record the cost price including delivery and payment fees, and the sell price, then show the gross profit, the gross margin percentage and the markup percentage clearly labeled as different things. Add a target mode where I enter the margin I want and it tells me the price I would need to charge. List every product ranked by margin as well as by revenue, so I can see which busy lines are quietly poor. Add an AI agent that reviews the whole list and tells me in plain language which products sell well but earn little, and what a sensible price would be. Automate a scheduled monthly review that flags any product whose margin has fallen since last month because a cost went up. Two logins: an owner who sets prices, and a team member who can view but not change them.

Check the Margin on Everything You Sell

Work out gross margin, markup, and the price needed for a target margin, and rank every product by margin not revenue.

// the spark catches · intelligence awakens · the answer unfolds

Margin and markup get confused constantly, and the confusion is expensive. This shows both, and works backwards to the price you actually need.

What's Included

  • Margin and markup shown together so the two stop being confused.
  • A target-margin price worked backwards from where you want to be.
  • Every product ranked by margin as well as by revenue.
  • An assistant that names your best sellers with the worst margins.

How To Use

  1. Show margin and markup side by side. They are not the same number.
  2. Work backwards from a target margin. It is the more useful direction.
  3. Rank by margin, not revenue. Your busiest line is often your worst.
  4. Include delivery and payment fees in cost or the margin is fiction.

Set the resulting prices in the price book manager, and protect them with the margin guard.
