📐 Show Whether AI Is Actually Helping

Every AI proposal promises a benefit and nobody ever checks. Build me a benefit measurement app. When a use case is approved, record the benefit claimed in specific terms such as hours saved per week, cost reduced, errors avoided or revenue increased, along with the measure that will be used to test it and the date it will be assessed, all recorded before the work starts. Capture a baseline at that point. At the assessment date, record the actual result against the same measure, and calculate it against the cost of running the case. Report claimed against actual across the portfolio. Add an AI agent that writes an honest summary of which cases delivered what they promised, which did not and by how much, and what the successful ones have in common, and that explicitly includes the failures rather than only reporting successes. Automate two things: a reminder at each assessment date to record the actual result, and a scheduled quarterly report on portfolio benefit against cost. Two logins: a case owner who records their own results, and a governance owner who sees the whole portfolio.
