🛟 Support Customers Inside the Product

Turn the app you built for yourself into something other people pay to use. These prompts add the parts that make a tool into a product: customer sign-in, plans and trials, limits that mean something, a billing lifecycle that handles the awkward cases, and an admin view so you can see who is actually using it. The unglamorous half nobody enjoys assembling.

My support is email and I ask every customer the same questions before I can help. Build me an in-app support desk. A signed-in customer raises a ticket from inside the product, and it automatically carries their account, their plan, their usage and what they were doing, so I never have to ask. Tickets have a status, an owner, a priority and a response target that depends on the customer plan. Keep a help article library, and show relevant articles to the customer as they type their question so the repeats are answered before a ticket exists. Add an AI agent that answers from my help articles only, says plainly when it does not know rather than guessing, and hands those over to me with a summary. It should also tell me which questions come up often enough that an article should exist. Automate three things: an acknowledgement on ticket creation, an alert when a ticket is approaching its response target, and a scheduled weekly report on volume, themes and target performance. Two logins: a customer who sees only their own tickets, tested with a second account, and an owner who sees all of them.

Support Customers Inside the Product

Take support tickets in context with account details attached, answer repeats from a help library, and hit response targets by plan.

// the spark catches · intelligence awakens · the answer unfolds

Support by email means asking who they are and what plan they are on every time. Inside the product, that context comes attached, and most questions can be answered before they are asked.

What's Included

  • Tickets raised in context with the account and plan attached.
  • A help library that answers the repeats before a ticket is raised.
  • Response targets by plan so priority is a rule rather than a mood.
  • An assistant that answers from your help articles and hands over the rest.

How To Use

  1. Attach account context automatically. Never ask a customer to repeat it.
  2. Write a help article the second time a question is asked.
  3. Set response targets by plan and measure against them.
  4. Let the assistant say it does not know. A confident wrong answer costs more.

Turn the themes into requests on the feature board, and extend it with customer support prompts.
