✏️ Handle Mid-Term Changes Cleanly

Run a book of business without letting a renewal slip. These prompts build what an agent or broker actually needs: every policy with its renewal date, commission you can check, claims tracked from notification to settlement, and a client portal that answers the routine questions. The renewal date does the work, because it is a reminder that repeats every year on its own.

Clients change things mid-term and our records drift out of date. Build me an endorsement app. Log every mid-term change request with the client, the policy, what is changing, the date requested, the date it should take effect and who requested it. Track it through Requested, Sent to Carrier, Confirmed or Declined, and never update the policy record itself until the carrier has confirmed, so a request is never mistaken for cover. Record any premium adjustment and whether it has been billed and collected. Notify the client in writing when a change is confirmed, stating clearly the effective date. Add an AI agent that reviews open endorsements and flags anything sent to a carrier without confirmation for longer than a window I set, anything with an effective date already passed that is still unconfirmed, and anything confirmed but never billed. Automate three things: a chase to the carrier on unconfirmed requests, a confirmation to the client, and a scheduled weekly list of open endorsements by age. Two logins: an administrator who logs and chases changes, and an owner who sees the full picture.

Handle Mid-Term Changes Cleanly

Log mid-term change requests, track carrier confirmation, record premium adjustments, and flag anything unconfirmed.

// the spark catches · intelligence awakens · the answer unfolds

Mid-term changes are where cover quietly becomes wrong. This records the request, the carrier confirmation, and the premium adjustment so the file always matches reality.

What's Included

  • Every change request logged with what and when.
  • Carrier confirmation tracked because a request is not a change.
  • Premium adjustment recorded so billing follows.
  • An assistant that flags requests never confirmed.

How To Use

  1. Never treat a request as a change until the carrier confirms it.
  2. Tell the client in writing when a change takes effect.
  3. Record the premium adjustment or your commission will be wrong.
  4. Chase unconfirmed changes. That is where cover gaps live.

Update the policy register, and reconcile with commission tracking.
