Clone a working example first

The Community Gallery holds Taskade Genesis apps that anyone can clone, including content calendars, editorial review boards and creator CRMs. Each clone brings its own projects, agents and automations, so you see a full workflow, not a screenshot.

The fundamental difference

YouMind is a creator's studio. You save what inspires you, ask questions across it, and turn it into a draft, a slide deck, a thumbnail or a short video. Its newest updates add frontier models, a desktop app, a skills marketplace and Sprite inside Lark.

Taskade is a team's operating system for that same work. The brief lives in a project. The draft moves across a review board. An agent checks it against the brand guide. An automation posts it when it is approved. When the process works, Taskade Genesis turns it into an app that clients or colleagues use.

YouMind asks: "What should I create from this?" Taskade asks: "How does the team ship it every week?"

What is Taskade?

Taskade is an AI workspace built on Workspace DNA: Memory (Projects), Intelligence (AI Agents) and Execution (Automations). Projects hold docs, tasks, files and structured data. Agents read that memory. Automations act on it and write results back. Founded by John Xie, Dionis Loire and Stan Chang in 2017, Taskade is a Y Combinator-backed company.

Taskade Genesis builds live apps from a prompt inside that workspace. A content team can build a request portal, a review dashboard or a client delivery page, with agents and automations already connected. Taskade EVE, the assistant that builds those apps, can also generate images during a build.

What is YouMind?

YouMind presents itself as "Your AI studio for turning inspiration into your own work," with the headline "Learn deeper. Create bolder." You save articles, videos, podcasts and notes, ask questions across them, and create articles, slides, images, videos and webpages. Templates cover blog posts, newsletters, pitch decks, infographics, YouTube thumbnails, explainer videos, landing pages and portfolios. YouMind runs on the web, iOS, Android, a macOS desktop app and a browser extension.

YouMind at a glance (verified October 2026): Pricing lists Starter at $20/mo, Pro at $40/mo and Max at a $200/mo list price, with 50 percent off the first month of Starter and Pro and 50 percent off every month of Max shown at the time of writing. Pro adds Sprite, a personal creative agent, MCP connections to Notion, Linear, GitHub and more, AI memory across sessions and a skills marketplace. Max adds a desktop agent and five times the Pro credits.

Recent updates from the YouMind changelog:

  • October 12, 2026: New frontier models in the model picker, multi-select of files for a task, and clearer upgrade options for annual plans.
  • September 24, 2026: Faster skill publishing, and the Listen feature now remembers your voice choice.
  • September 15, 2026: Sprite works inside Lark, the slide presets got a redesign, and credit labels became clearer.
  • August 18, 2026: A redesigned model picker with Auto mode on by default, skill previews, and the YouMind desktop app.

YouMind does well:

  • One place to save sources and turn them into many formats
  • Image and video generation in the same studio as the research
  • A skills marketplace where creators share reusable workflows
  • A personal agent, Sprite, that learns your work and style on paid plans

Where teams hit limits: YouMind's published plans are individual subscriptions built around one creator's studio and credit balance. Teams that need assigned tasks, an approval step, role-based access, automations into business apps and a client-facing delivery page usually run those steps in another tool.

Feature-by-feature deep dive

Research and knowledge

  • YouMind saves sources into boards and lets you ask questions across them.
  • Taskade gives a custom AI agent knowledge from files (PDF, DOCX, CSV, images), web pages, YouTube transcripts and live projects. A connected project stays current, so the agent answers from today's data. See agent knowledge.

Content creation

  • YouMind leads on media. It creates images, video, slides and webpages, and lets you pick from several frontier models.
  • Taskade writes the text layer: briefs, outlines, drafts, scripts, checklists and posts. It does not generate video, music or voice. For images, Taskade EVE can generate them during a build, and the OpenAI automation connector has a Generate Image action on your own key.

Planning and review

  • YouMind organizes material in boards and supports scheduled tasks.
  • Taskade runs the pipeline with multiple project views: List, Board, Table, Mind Map, Docs (Beta), Gantt Chart, Calendar, Actionsheet and Org Chart. Gantt Chart, Actionsheet and Org Chart need a paid plan. A Board column per stage (Brief, Draft, Review, Approved, Published) gives every piece an owner and a status.

Automation and integrations

  • YouMind connects tools through MCP on Pro and Max.
  • Taskade runs automations across 100+ integrations. A trigger such as a new RSS feed item starts the flow. Actions post to Slack, publish to WordPress or update a project. The generic HTTP request action calls any third-party API, and webhooks are available on Pro and above.

Delivery

  • YouMind produces content you export or share.
  • Taskade Genesis ships an app at a URL, with GenesisAuth email-and-password sign-in on every plan, password protection on Pro and above, and custom domains on Pro and above.

Use both: a content pipeline workflow

  1. Plan in Taskade. Keep the content calendar in a Calendar view and one brief per piece in a project.
  2. Store your prompt library. Save the prompts and skills that produce on-brand work in a shared Taskade project, so every writer starts from the same playbook. Browse AI prompts for a starting set.
  3. Create in YouMind. Feed the brief and your sources into YouMind to produce the article, the slides or the short video.
  4. Review in Taskade. Add the draft link to the Review column. A Taskade agent with the brand guide as knowledge checks tone and facts, and an editor approves.
  5. Automate the release. When a card moves to Approved, an automation posts the link to Slack and marks the calendar entry as scheduled.
  6. Deliver to clients. For agency work, build a Taskade Genesis client portal where each client sees the status of their pieces.

The Workspace DNA advantage

  • Memory (Projects): Briefs, brand guides, prompt libraries and calendars that every agent can read.
  • Intelligence (Agents): Custom agents with persistent memory, built-in tools and the knowledge you attach.
  • Execution (Automations): Flows that start on an event, act through agents and write results back to Memory.

Every published piece adds to the workspace, so the next brief starts with what worked. Read how Workspace DNA works for the full model.

Frequently asked questions

Does Taskade replace YouMind for video?

No. Taskade has no native video, music or voice generation. Keep a media tool for that output, and use Taskade for the workflow around it.

Can Taskade call a media generation API?

Yes, with your own key. The HTTP request action in Taskade automations can call any third-party API, and webhooks are available on Pro and above.

Is there a Taskade browser extension?

Yes. Taskade has a Chrome extension, alongside web, desktop and mobile apps.

Do Taskade agents remember context?

Yes. A Taskade custom agent keeps persistent memory through the knowledge you attach, including live projects that update as the team works.
