## Overview

**Memory** at `/memory` is a live map of everything you build in Taskade: your workspaces, team spaces, apps, projects, AI agents, and media. It is the most direct way to see your [Workspace DNA](https://www.taskade.com/learn/genesis/workspace-dna) across every workspace, and to find context for your next build.

> **TL;DR:** Memory is a live map of every workspace that you use. Open it from the left ribbon or your profile menu. Search it, filter it by item type, and open the **DNA Map** of any workspace to see how its projects, agents, and automations connect. Use it to audit a published app or to onboard a teammate. See [Workspace DNA](https://www.taskade.com/learn/genesis/workspace-dna).

## What the graph shows

Memory starts from your account and branches out to everything inside it:

| Item | What it represents |
| --- | --- |
| **Workspace** | A workspace that you belong to |
| **Team Space** | A space inside a workspace |
| **App** | A Taskade Genesis app |
| **Project** | Projects, documents, and stored knowledge (your Memory layer) |
| **AI Agent** | Custom AI agents (your Intelligence layer) |
| **Media** | Files in Media Files |

Automations appear on the **DNA Map** of each workspace, not on Memory. The **DNA Map** also draws the **Knowledge** and **Triggers on** lines between projects, agents, and automations. See [View Your Workspace DNA Graph](https://www.taskade.com/learn/genesis/dna-graph).

## How to use the graph

1. Click **Memory** in the left ribbon, below **Search** and **Recent**. You can also pick **Memory** in your profile menu.
2. Click **Search** and type a name to jump to an item.
3. Use the filters to show or hide item types. Click **Show all** to bring every type back.
4. Switch between **Flow** and **Galaxy** to change the layout.
5. Click an item to see its details in the side panel.
6. For a workspace, team space, or app, click **Open live map** to open its **DNA Map**.
7. To open the item itself, click **Open in Taskade**, or the **Open** button that shows the item name.

## Use cases

- **Find related context** before writing a Taskade EVE prompt or building a new agent.
- **Spot unused items.** Open a workspace's **DNA Map** and look for projects with no agent or automation lines. Retire them or connect them.
- **Audit a published app.** Click the app on Memory to see what it holds, then open its live map to see how the parts connect.
- **Onboard a teammate** by walking them through the graph instead of folder trees.

## Tips

- **Start narrow.** Filter to one node type before zooming out.
- **Combine with [Taskade EVE Mentions](https://www.taskade.com/learn/agents/eve-mentions).** Mention the exact node you want Taskade EVE to use as context.
- **Treat orphans gently.** Some are personal scratchpads. Archive what is truly stale.
